Check what you cook

HyreKitchen is a meal planner, not medical, nutrition or allergy advice. Menus and recipes are written by AI, and AI can get things wrong: an ingredient it shouldn't include, a wrong amount, a cooking time that's off, or a step that's missing.

• Allergies: the app tries to leave out the allergies you tell it about, but it can miss one, and packaged foods can contain allergens you wouldn't expect. Read every ingredient and every label yourself before you cook or eat, especially if an allergy is serious.
• Food safety: cook meat, poultry, fish and eggs to safe temperatures and store leftovers safely, whatever a recipe says.
• Calories and nutrition are estimates. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have or have had an eating disorder, follow your doctor or dietitian rather than the app's numbers.

Your account and your kitchen

• You must be 13 or older to make an account.
• Use a real email address and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• One person per account. A kitchen can have two people: invite only someone you're happy to share it with, because they'll see your setup answers (including allergies and goals), plans, lists and ratings.

Prices, sales and Kroger

Prices and sale prices come from your store and can change at any time, so what you pay at checkout may differ from what the app shows. Sending a list to Kroger only fills your cart; you review it and check out in Kroger's own app or website, under Kroger's terms. HyreKitchen isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Kroger or Walmart.

Your content and the shared recipe library

What you type, rate and photograph stays yours. You let us store and process it only to run HyreKitchen for you, which includes sending parts of it to our AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy.

Recipes the app writes go into a shared library that other HyreKitchen users can browse and cook, without your name. The same goes for recipes you import from a link. They keep a link back to the original site, and you should only import recipes for your own cooking. We may use recipes in the library, and the overall ratings on them, to improve HyreKitchen.

Fair use

Please don't:

• try to get into anyone else's account or data, or get around the app's limits or security;
• use scripts or bots, scrape the recipe library, or overload the service;
• upload anything illegal, or photos of people without their permission;
• use HyreKitchen to produce harmful content, or resell it or its output as a service.

We may limit, suspend or close accounts that do these things.

Free, for now and on purpose

HyreKitchen is free. We may limit how much AI planning each kitchen can do, change features, or add paid options later. If we ever charge for something, you'll see the price and its terms before you pay anything, and nothing you already use will start costing money without warning.

The service itself

HyreKitchen is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, free of errors, or that data can never be lost. We may change or stop parts of the app; if we shut HyreKitchen down, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to get a copy of your data first.

Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, HyreKitchen is not liable for any allergic reaction, food-borne illness, injury, health outcome, or indirect, incidental or consequential loss that comes from using the app or following its menus and recipes. Our total liability for anything else is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months, which today is zero. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Ending things, changes and contact

You can stop using HyreKitchen whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@hyrekitchen.com. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app or by email first. Continuing to use HyreKitchen after that means you accept the new terms.
